Book 5 of 2019.

Where to start…

I was incredibly lucky to be gifted this book by Penguin Random House and I will be eternally grateful that I got to be one of the first people to read it.

John Marrs is probably most well known for his book ‘The One’. It is due to be soon made into a Netflix Original. It was the first book by this author that I read and since then I have fast become a HUGE fan of his.

One thing to note, is that this book refers to ‘The One’ on a few occasions and as a fan, it made me so happy that he’s done that.

So, The Passengers.

Eight self-drive cars set on a collision course. Who lives, who dies? You decide.

The self-drive cars are hacked and all passengers are given less than 2.5 hours to live.

I was gripped by the end of chapter one. This book is a genuine page-turner.

There are many twists and turns and the ending is not something you expect, but definitely feel is deserved.

The storyline itself is very original. It’s set in the very near future and I’m honestly amazed at where all authors find such amazing inspiration.

Because this is a proof copy, there are a couple of spelling & grammar errors and at one point, Sheffield and Halifax are mixed up. However, these issues will be resolved by the time the book is released and they’re certainly not detrimental to the storyline.

I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a fascinating read and something a bit different.

My Goodreads rating has happily been put down as a five star.

You’ll notice I haven’t said anything about the characters. I want you to read the book and form your own opinions. I’m not giving anything away…
