This is a Non-Fiction book and is Bella’s true life experience.
I personally suffer with anxiety quite a lot and recently I decided to try jogging to help me. This book came at exactly the right time for me.
If you don’t understand much about anxiety, chapter 2 might be a huge shock for you. Even though I do suffer with it and I understand it, that was still a very hard chapter for me to read. I could feel my heart rate speeding up as I realised I had 4 different forms of anxiety to contend with. Once I’d got through that hurdle I absolutely loved this book.
It’s a very common thing for people to say that exercise helps with anxiety. This is only true if you actually enjoy that exercise and want to go and do it. Never force yourself to do something you really don’t enjoy.
Bella wasn’t a fan of running at first, but she realised it was helping her and it made her feel just a little bit better. When her marriage collapsed, when a close family member died and when she felt any sort of anxiety, she turned to running. it helps to clear your mind and you get to be outside instead of staring at a gym wall. Now, she runs practically every day and really enjoys it.
Even if you’re not into running, but suffer from anxiety, I think it’s really important that you read this book. I’m going to give it to my Mum to read chapter two. I don’t mind if she doesn’t read the full thing, but she openly admits to not understanding anxiety as she has never experienced it. Bella explains so perfectly, that I feel everyone should read AT LEAST that chapter. Of course, I would highly recommend reading the entire book over just one chapter, but hey!

It isn’t an ‘easy’ or ‘quick’ read due to the nature of the book. But I 100% recommend that you give it a go and see if it will help you, because, you know, it just might!
