This is the second book from WD Jackson. I have already written a review for his first book, ‘The Demons Beneath’ which I loved.

‘From Inside The House’ was just as good, if not better. It picks up where the first book left off but yet still leaves you wanting more.

The synopsis is DI Graves is back on the case after two victims are found brutally murdered in their own home… worse still, body parts have been taken. No motive, no clues, no suspects, this is one of Graves’ toughest cases to date. Gradually, more bodies are found in their homes with body parts stolen. A serial killer is on the loose, but is he/she working alone?

To top all of this off, someone is targeting Graves in relation to another case. At first he thinks he’s going mad, but eventually realises that he has to keep himself safe in order to finally find the suspects involved. AND a journalist is determined to work her way up the career ladder and puts herself and the police in serious danger in order to get her story.

This is a ‘fly by the seat of your pants’ kinda novel and I loved it. There is a lot going on, but it isn’t at all complicated.

I read through it very quickly and I look forward to a third book in the future. Those cliffhangers are so good, but so bad!!

I think WD Jackson deserves a lot of credit for his first two books and if you love a crime/drama you should definitely give these a go, but make sure to read them in order or it probably won’t make much sense.

Four big stars for me.
